Day 1: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you’ll meet a representative for a safari briefing before embarking on a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views of open grasslands dotted with ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai homesteads, and herds of cattle tended by nomadic herders.

Upon arrival, you’ll experience the park’s renowned landscapes and wildlife, including the iconic baobabs, tree-climbing pythons, and the highest concentration of African elephants. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, and cheetahs as you explore. After a picnic lunch at midday, continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to Karatu, near Ngorongoro, for dinner and an overnight stay at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

Following a hearty breakfast, you’ll journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Depending on wildlife activity, the drive may take around six hours as the southern plains often host a high concentration of animals.

Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before continuing with a game drive on the way to your lodge, arriving in the evening. Spend the night at Rest House Lodge Serengeti.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari

This day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti in depth. Start with a magical Serengeti sunrise followed by morning and afternoon game drives. The central region, known as Seronera, features a network of rivers that provide year-round water, attracting an abundance of wildlife.

This area offers one of the best chances to spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. The permanent water sources also draw giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos, while predators such as cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals roam the area.

Enjoy the stunning Serengeti sunset before retiring for the night at Rest House Lodge Serengeti.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, take a three-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an exciting descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, followed by a thrilling game drive. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife.

Ngorongoro, one of the 8 Wonders of the World, serves as a crucial sanctuary for many species. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see large bull elephants and the rare black rhino. The crater is also home to wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, lions, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, and nearly 400 bird species.

Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge in Karatu.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, set off for Lake Manyara National Park, bringing along picnic lunches. Nestled within the Great Rift Valley, the park features a lush evergreen forest that provides shelter for olive baboons, vervet monkeys, large elephant families, and elusive tree-climbing lions. Leopards and buffalos also roam this scenic reserve.

At midday, enjoy lunch in the park before exploring the open woodlands in search of giraffes, hippos, and flocks of flamingos. After your afternoon game drive, return to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for an overnight stay, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
